The pubic piercing is done where the shaft meets the body, through the tissue there. Beyond being an aesthetically pleasing piercing, these also are highly functional to stimulate the clitorus during face-to-face positions. That said, the placement where they offer the most stimulation is often where they are the hardest to heal due to pressure and trauma. A pubic piercing is essentially a surface piercing, and heals with many of the same considerations. Like surface piercings, these can be prone to migration or rejection. Ideal anatomy for these piercings has enough tissue to comfortably life and adjust. Placements will vary from person to person based on your own anatomy and desire for the piercing. These piercings can be a lot of work to heal and keep, and it’s important to be mindful of this before getting this piercing.
